I think it is unfair to the other teams to start talking already about forgone conclusions.

We, at the George Thursday league do not take anything for granted and treat each team we play as contenders, whether they be second in the league or at the bottom of the league, holding everyone else up.   Each team should be given the respect they deserve and that way you can enjoy the evening as we do.   After all, it’s not over until the fat lady sings and I ain’t singing yet. On the other hand, we at the George Tuesday League keep trying.  MH

Irene, we at the Albion, also respect all teams, weather they be at the top or the bottom. However, i on the other hand am a realist, and being realistic, you would need to be beaten 3 times, to concede your league trophy, and the teams below you would need to win the remaining 9 matches, likewise on a Tuesday with the Albion. Having played for the only team to beat the George in a League Match, back in September 2007, I for one am playing purely for 2nd place, barring a mircla that is lol...

However, should i be proved wrong i will allow you to cut all my hair off!!! (what i have left)

how about the portslade league merging with the brighton league. then teams could all be put in respective divisions with each other and possibly have 4 leagues altogether.

It is always good for people to come up with suggestions, but if all the things I hear are true, most of our Tuesday people would be totally outclassed and would loose the fun and friendly side, which we have, if we would join with the Brighton league.   Also the distance for travel ling would have to come into it.   If the Brighton League have so many divisions, then perhaps the lower ones would like to come and join us in Portslade! HELLO IRENE,i think the use of the term fun and friendly should be scrubbed from the portlade darts league after tuesdays affair at the seeboard ,ask les the chairman about his verbal conduct with the use of the f word directed at tina of which he has not apologised for!!!!!!! in a heated moment i expect better from a supposedly high regarded member of the commitee and especially towards a woman and fellow commitee member, what with the battle issue i dont think this league is as friendly as you think!!.with teams dropping off like flies maybe one should call an earlier agm to put to the existing teams the offer of amalgemation with other leagues to survive, albeit as you say the travelling is an issue but give those keen and capable the chance to voice without presumption.   p.s the brighton boys have no problem travelling for your thursday team ,or do they get their travelling expenses ?? LOL.

Hi Tony, nice to hear from you...
I am afraid I cannot comment on Tuesday night has I have not heard anything from Tina or Les with the details.   Perhaps Tina is waiting on the next meeting (rule 21)  or has put her grievance, if any, in writing to Fred.
I can only speak from personal experience about the fun and friendliness of the PADL   I hate to say this Tony, but I have only heard of three complaints this season about other teams and each one has been yourself.   If Tina or Les for that matter, want to speak with either myself or Fred, they have our numbers...MH

Hi Tony,
I was thinking about the time you spoke to me about your thread 'Wake at the Albion', but thinking more about that, you might have been talking about the SADL League. MH

The thread ' wake at the Albion'  was directed towards the Albion regarding a recent match vs. the Romans in PADL.

They wouldn't be out classed because they would all be put in their "respective divisions" Another option could be to put the Portslade league in as the fourth division to start off with ( would give a season to settle in) and add any new team from Brighton that may join. At the end of the season, the top two would get promoted, then so on.
